thinQ Long Code Text Messaging: SMS MMS Surcharges & Fees Structure

thinQ has enabled existing and new long code SMS products for support of A2P (Application to Person) services. All services, including A2P or P2P, may be subject to long code messaging surcharges as listed below. For new commercial A2P Long Code SMS/MMS services, the surcharges are based on the recipient carrier network.

This surcharge fee is on a per message basis, and differs between recipient carrier networks. This fee is equal to the fee that short code SMS customers pay for the termination of messages to the destination network today. thinQ will pass this fee through to our customers at no markup. To ensure transparency, this fee will appear as a separate line item on your invoice.

thinQ will not implement and subsequently pass this fee on unless the fee is passed to thinQ, on a carrier-by-carrier network basis. This implementation will ensure the highest rates of completion percentage of our SMS/MMS platform. Long Code surcharges do not guarantee delivery of spam or abusive messaging.

Long Code Surcharges, both the fee and the effective dates, are being communicated on a carrier-by-carrier network basis. Any update or change to the fees will be proactively announced to all thinQ partners via our Technical Updates email list and all who have an active SMS/MMS account with us. For questions, open a support ticket and our experts will respond as soon as possible.
