Sales Engineer: thinQ is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for supporting the sales team in selling and promoting thinQ’s CPaaS, Origination, Termination, SMS/MMS, & APIs and products. The required support includes having the expertise to effectively demonstrate the benefits and value proposition around thinQ’s CPaaS solutions to prospective and existing customers.

JOB DUTIES  

  • Manage, coach, and motivate the sales team members to develop their skills
  • Drive the API/SMS/MMS sales plan, strategy, and customer-facing materials
  • Work with sales and development teams on complex customer engagements
  • Conduct regular training sessions and rep evaluation, to assure the sales organization
  • Has a proficient understanding of the value proposition, how to position and sell the
 product, and how to leverage the benefits of utilizing voice and messaging services 
through thinQ’s communications APIs
  • Represent thinQ’s messaging expertise to customers, at conferences and other 
venues
  • Identify current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements
  • Provide product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests
  • Help establish new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers; planning and organizing sales call schedule
  • Post-implementation, this position is expected to provide advanced technical support for issues related to custom engineered solutions that are most often raised directly by the customer
  • Continuously identify and leverage new technologies or methodologies

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS  

  • 4+ years of experience in technical and business communications application sales
  • Experience with API, SMS/MMS ecosystem and technologies such as Javascript, .NET, PHP, and SMPP
  • Experience in solution selling, CPaaS, UCaaS, or SaaS services
  • Ability to absorb key technical company differentiators and present back to prospective customers as well as sales employees
  • Bachelors Degree, Business, Marketing/Sales, or similar


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in sales and sales management, preferably SaaS related
